The FUN RUN

October 1st Update: Our annual Fun Run was once again a huge success! We had perfect running weather and the students looked great in their new "Run for the Stars" t-shirts. The volunteers were SUPER! - please see the newsletter to see all who came out and helped make our event a great one. Remember to turn in your pledge envelopes by Oct. 21st to be eligible for prizes. Are you ready to get your glow on? Get those tennis shoes out and ready because the 2011 Fun Run is coming Friday, Sept 30th! This year’s Fun Run theme is Run for the Stars and all prizes will GLOW in some form or another. For those of you new to Boeckman, the Fun Run is one of the PTA’s major fund-raisers for our school. 100% of the proceeds from this event go to support our school. The PTA uses proceeds from the Fun Run to provide programs, support and educational activities for Boeckman Creek students and families.

All students will run, jog, or walk laps for 25 minutes around the Wilsonville track during specified times throughout the Fun Run day. Each lap equals one-fourth of a mile. Students are encouraged to obtain sponsors. Friends, relatives, and neighbors may sponsor students at a minimum of $.25 per lap. Or they may make a single donation of their choice (i.e. $10, $25, etc.) Pledge envelopes will be sent home with each student after the kick-off assembly which will be held on Friday, September 16th. Completed pledge envelopes are due back to school by Wednesday, September 28th.
